The same Tuffone that some of you already know. I dont make a lot of comps due to work and distance, but the crawling spirit is still within my blood. I live down in the Lawton area, which is in SW OK for those that have never been west of I35. There are rocks down here, and we I hope to see some changes so that we could all do some buisness down this way. Lets Meet In The Middle.

"Fun in Oklahoma"

"Fun in Oklahoma"
"Fun in Oklahoma" is a huge web site to promote all types of activities in Oklahoma. There is a Radio Control Section (under Hobbies) and a link to this site has been provided. Keep me informed of events, activities, news, etc. and I will post it where it will be seen by Oklahomans all across the state.
I have been heavily involved in R/C in Oklahoma and had no idea this activity existed until I stumbled across it while searching for something else. Think there may be many people who would like to get involved if only they knew it existed?
Get exposure for yourself and R/C Rock Crawling, keep me informed. I have to rely on you as you will see when you visit the site - there are thousands of activies covered, no way I can do it myself. I don't have time to do it but I DO "MAKE" time to post what I receive.
My name is Jeff Toney and besides the web site I work full time as the Office Manager at Baker Boys Yamaha in OKC. I have raced R/C cars and boats in the past and built the first indoor R/C car race track in Oklahoma (Race Place). Years ago I was the Wholesale Rep for the two largest hobby distributors in this region of the United States. I had the fun of being able to see the development of R/C and to help it grow. It is a lot different than it was back in those humble beginnings.

Re: "Fun in Oklahoma"
Hi there Jeff. I ran a JoMac Lightning back at your old place at 23rd and Rockwell in the late '70's, early '80's. Some guys there running carpet was Trash Can Tony V., Kenny A., Steve S., Jeff B., etc. Bob Light is the one ya'll remember the most and he still races. I built RCRC back in '85 and had a carpet track along with the dirt for the first couple of years. Dirt is where it's at now, along with rock.

Re: "Fun in Oklahoma"
Thanks to all of you for the response. I remember you Deadeye, you had a great facility there on I-40. I thought about buying the lot next door to Race Place but the numbers just wouldn't work out, you did a fantastic job of picking up where I left off.
I saw Bob Light a few months back, he was racing a dirt oval late model. Jeff Jackson, Mark McCuen, Scot Sabolich (hasn't he done great things), are just some of the others.
I guess I messed up my profile or something because I tried to make it where my e-mail would appear and the link to my site. I hope none of you think this is spam because it isn't. I am here to help your sport grow and gain exposure and I haven't asked anyone for money. I have a whole lot of exposure. The web site is http://www.funinoklahoma.com and the e-mail is jeff@toneyco.com
I have moved all calendars back into the Main Site Calendar so everyone who visits will see ALL the events - some will be interested and check out R/C Crawling. I have 30 to 40 NEW people a day coming to the site and have had since the beginning. Those numbers will not impress My Space but hey, this site is about Oklahoma and I do not use search engines although you will find me near the top of all of them. My traffic is REAL traffic and mostly from Oklahomans. I think my traffic is pretty darn good, I know many would love to have it. The hits are over 1 1/2 million but hits don't really mean anything other than there is some traffic. It is the NEW ones (uniques) I pay attention to. Some sites supposedly tell you the traffic of a site but it isn't so. In my case you won't get numbers on Fun in Oklahoma because it is redirected through my main site ToneyCo.com because I am building a totally new site on the Fun in Oklahoma server (plus I own ToneyCo which is the service provider for all my sites). I am also building a new site called "Oklahoma Racer" which will be the replacement of the extremely successful "MotorSportNews" site I lost a few years back due to a divorce. It generated over 70,000 Oklahoma subscribers - sure wish I had and could use that database.
Thank You
Jeff Toney

Re: "Fun in Oklahoma"
Nice site you have Jeff. It has a little of everything and looks to be informative. I bought a Raider back in June and ride with Bob and Milford when it is warmer. They both have V-Stars. I had the Raider out yesterday and almost came by Baker Boys. Good luck on the site and I'm sure I'll be running into you again. Later, Robert

Re: "Fun in Oklahoma"
Sorry Bob said last night that their bikes are Road Stars and he bought his at Baker Boys. Gary Ellis came by the race track and bought a late model to start racing again. My grandsons are starting to race now.
